As athletes, we strive to maintain and improve our performance while staying healthy. Unfortunately, injuries still occur, and that is where Velocity Performance PT comes in.
At Velocity Performance PT, we specialize in working with runners and triathletes. We understand the unique demands that training places on your body and the specific injuries that can result.
Our mission is to give endurance athletes a place where they get advice other than "just stop running" as a way to manage and recover from their orthopedic injuries.
Services for Athletes
Physical Therapy
Using a combination of manual therapy techniques such as joint and soft tissue mobilization, muscle re-education, and strength training to resolve your pain .
Running Gait Analysis
Using AI tech and Runscribe 3D foot pods, a treadmill and outdoor gait analysis will give us a good understanding of your running gait.
Recovery/Maintenance Packages
The repetitive movements in sport can take a toll on our bodies. Recovery/maintenance packages help address mobility restrictions, tightness, and imbalances to help keep you feeling your best and ready to conquer your next workout.
Strength Coaching/Programming
Sometimes it is hard to know what exercises and when you should be doing them to supplement your running or swim/bike/run. We offer strength coaching/programming specific to runners and triathletes so you don't have to think about what you should be doing in the gym or at home for your workouts.
The Optimal Runner Package
This packages includes a comprehensive evaluation looking at an individual's mobility, stability/control, strength, and movement patterns specific to running, and a running gait analysis. A written report of the findings will be given to you with recommendations for drills and exercises to perform to address any imbalances and findings during the assessment.
